Prized Reds prospects Elly De La Cruz and Christian Encarnacion-Strand will miss some time due to injuries, De La Cruz with a hamsting problem, and Encarnacion-Strand with a herniation in his back. Dr. Angel Valazquez from OrthoCincy joined Mo Egger on ESPN 1530 to discuss both injuries as well as the forearm soreness that’s sidelined pitcher Luke Weaver.

They also talked about the injury risk that comes with ballplayers playing in the cold after preparing for the season in the warmth of Florida and Arizona.
