Meet Our Team

Kristen Arveson, PT, DPT

Kristen earned both her B.S. in Exercise Science in 2010 and her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2012 from Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI.  Kristen enjoys treating a variety of orthopaedic and sports-related injuries and is pursuing advanced certification to become an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist. In her spare time, Kristen enjoys running, watching sports and spending time with friends and family.

Brian Barnes, PT

Brian received his physical therapy degree from D'Youville College in Buffalo, NY.  Brian has 18 years of experience as a physical therapist including working at ROI the last six years.  Brian is married and has a 5 year-old daughter.  Brian enjoys playing broomball, softball, and exercising.

Brian sees patients at the Fairfield location.

Allison Brandt, PT, DPT

Allison was born and raised in Cincinnati and graduated from Turpin High School. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training from Miami University and her Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from Missouri State University. Allison has been working with OrthoCincy since 2009. For fun, she enjoys running, cooking and traveling.

Angelena Clauda, PT, DPT

Angie graduated with her B.S. from Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, NC with a degree in Health and Exercise Science. She earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree at the University of Dayton in 2016. She enjoys working with a variety of orthopedic conditions with a special interest in manual therapy and preventative therapy.

In her free time she enjoys playing competitive sand volleyball and cycling. She lives in Cincinnati with her husband.

Ellen Cole, PT, MSPT
Ellen Cole, PT, MSPT

Ellen Cole graduated from the University of Kentucky in 2008 with her Bachelor's Degree in Health Sciences and Master of Science in Physical Therapy. Ellen enjoys treating patients of all ages, and she has experience working with patients with a wide variety of orthopaedic conditions.
 
Ellen enjoys helping patients achieve their goals, reach their highest level of function, and become independent in a lifelong exercise program.
 
Ellen played college soccer, and has an added interest in treating athletes.

Shannon Conway, PTA

Shannon Conway graduated from Bradford College in 2016 with an Associate's of Applied Science degree in Physical Therapy Assisting. Shannon enjoys treating all patients. She has a particular interest in assisting the geriatric population in returning to their activities of daily living pain free. Her favorite part of working in physical therapy is seeing the hard work and determination of patients pay off when they're able to return to their sport, hobby, or job.

Outside of work Shannon enjoys running, watching sports, and spending time with family and friends.

Ben Davis, PTA

Ben Davis received his Bachelors of Science in Athletic Training from Ball State University in 2000.  He then received his Master's Degree in Education from The Ohio State University in 2005, focusing on Physical Education for Grades K-12.  He received his Physical Therapy Assistant degree from Kent State University. 

Ben has 10 years of Athletic Training experience at the high school and college level.  He enjoys treating all patients, particularly those with sports-related injuries, with an emphasis on functional progressions and return to play progressions.

He is married and has two children.  In his free time, Ben enjoys spending time with his family, working on cars, and watching Ohio State football.

Ben sees patients at our Southgate location.

Justin DeFilippi, PT, DPT

Justin has been with OrthoCincy since 2011.  He received his Bachelor's degree from St. Vincent College in Latrobe, PA and went on to earn his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA.  Justin is a Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Orthopedic Physical Therapy.  He enjoys working with all musculoskeletal conditions and has particular interest in sports-related injuries and manual therapy.  Justin has a wonderful family, including his parents, sister and brother, who are endlessly loving and supportive.

Josh DeLoriea, PT, DPT, Florence Physical Therapy Supervisor

Josh DeLoriea graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology from North Carolina State University in 1999 and then went on to earn a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2010. Josh has experience treating various musculoskeletal impairments and has an added interest in treating cervical and low back pain.

After moving to Toronto, Ontario for a short time, Josh moved to the Cincinnati area in June 2013. Josh is the Physical Therapy Supervisor at our Florence location that opened in December 2014.  

In his free time, Josh likes to try to keep in shape, watch Carolina Panthers' games, and explore the activities Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky have to offer.

Suzie Dorma, PT, DPT
Suzie Dorma, PT, DPT, Southgate Physical Therapy Supervisor

Suzie Dorma received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from Creighton University in 2001.  Her experience includes working in outpatient physical therapy clinics, treating a variety of orthopaedic conditions.  Suzie also has training in the treatment of patients in Industrial Rehabilitation and Pelvic Floor and Core Rehabilitation.   

Suzie joined OrthoCincy in February 2014.  She is the Physical Therapy Supervisor for our Southgate location.  She focuses on incorporating the whole body in her patients' rehabilitation programs in order to promote higher level function and return to work, sports and hobbies.

Suzie grew up in the Cincinnati area and enjoys spending time with her family and friends.  She enjoys volunteering at a variety of school related events, being outdoors, cheering on her kids in their sporting ventures and being active with her kids and husband.

Steve Goldstein, PT, DPT

Steve Goldstein graduated from Miami University in 1993 with a Bachelor of Arts in History and Sociology.  He then graduated from the University of Kentucky in 1999 with a Master of Science in Physical Therapy.  In 2007, he received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Kentucky.

Steve has worked in a variety of outpatient orthopaedic, occupational medicine, and inpatient rehabilitation settings.  He has a special interest in treating orthopaedic and work-related injuries, as well as disorders of the spine.

Steve enjoys spending time with his wife and three children.  His interests are playing jazz and blues guitar, bass guitar, reading, and sports.

Steve sees patients at our Florence location.

Jill Goodwin, PT, MSPT
Jill Goodwin, PT, MSPT, Physical Therapy Director

Jill Goodwin, Physical Therapy Director, graduated from the University of Kentucky in 1998 with a Master of Science in Physical Therapy. She manages the physical therapy services at the Edgewood, Southgate and Florence offices.

Jill has experience working with patients ranging in age from infants to the elderly in outpatient settings. She specializes in the treatment of sports-related injuries, and spine and joint issues. Jill has a passion for improving diet and exercise habits and enjoys helping her patients return to a healthy lifestyle after an injury. 

She has worked with OrthoCincy since 2011 and lives in Northern Kentucky with her husband and three children. Jill lives out her passion for sports and fitness by coaching her children in soccer and doing presentations in the community about physical therapy and exercise.

In addition to her management role, Jill sees patients at the Edgewood location.

Brandon Griffin, PT, DPT
Brandon Griffin, PT, DPT

Brandon Griffin graduated summa cum laude from the University of Cincinnati with a Bachelors Degree in Health Sciences - Biometrics. He received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree in 2011 from the University of Cincinnati. He has experience working with patients in acute care, skilled nursing facilities, and outpatient orthopaedics.
 
Brandon has worked with OrthoCincy since 2011, and he enjoys treating all orthopaedic conditions with an emphasis on shoulder, knee, and lumbar spine issues.
 
Brandon was a high school wrestler and coach. He lives in Cincinnati and is an avid Ohio State Buckeyes fan.

Kelly Heisler, PT, MPT
Kelly Heisler, PT, MPT

Kelly Heisler received her Masters of Physical Therapy in 2001 from the College of Mount Saint Joseph. She has experience implementing preoperative, postoperative, and preventive care for a variety of orthopaedic conditions. Kelly has also been involved in the development of rehabilitation protocols for postoperative shoulder and knee conditions.
 
Kelly has worked with OrthoCincy since 2012, with a focus on orthopaedic and sports medicine rehabilitation.
 
Kelly lives in Northern Kentucky with her husband and four children. She is active in her church and community. Kelly enjoys cooking and volunteering at his children's schools.

Chris Hill PT, MHS, OCS, Physical Therapy Director

Chris received his physical therapy degree from Ohio University in 1991. He completed his Masters of Health Science from the Krannert School of Physical Therapy and the University of Indianapolis in 1998. Chris is a Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Orthopedic Physical Therapy. Chris enjoys working with all age groups and types of musculoskeletal injuries with special interests in sports injuries and manual therapy. Chris´ outside interests include sports and fly fishing. He and his wife, Mary, live in Milford.

In addition to managing the Montgomery, Fairfield, and South Lebanon locations, Chris sees patients himself at the Montgomery location.

Amanda Janszen, PT, DPT
Amanda Janszen, PT, DPT

Amanda Janszen received her Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from DePauw University in 2009. She earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Dayton in 2012. 

Amanda has experience working as a sports medicine physical therapist, and enjoys treating a variety of orthopaedic injuries and conditions. 

In her free time, Amanda enjoys competing in masters swimming. She lives in Cincinnati with her husband.

Wade Kepplinger, PTA

Wade Kepplinger, PTA, received his degree in Health Science Public Health Education from California State University of Northridge, and then received his Physical Therapy Assistant degree from Cerritos College, also in California.  He has experience working in hospitals, inpatient facilities, and outpatient clinics, giving him a solid foundation to provide patient care and support.

Wade appreciates the challenge of instructing, motivating, safeguarding, and assisting patients as they perform exercises and activities.  He enjoys listening to his patients to understand each person's individual issues and challenges.

In his free time, Wade likes to spend time with family and friends.  He enjoys hiking, fishing, camping, going to the beach, and running.

Sara Klar, PT, DPT
Sara Klar, PT, DPT

Sara Klar, DPT, PT, graduated with her Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training from Eastern Kentucky University.  She then received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Kentucky.

She has worked in an inpatient acute setting, and has an interest in treating sports-related injuries and general orthopaedic conditions.
 
Sara enjoys spending time with her family and friends, running 5Ks, and playing tennis.

Andrew Koch, PT, DPT

Andrew Koch, PT, DPT, received his Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Lee University in 2000, and earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Regis University in 2005.

Andy has more than 10 years of experience working with patients of various age ranges and in a variety of settings.  A former college athlete, he specializes in the treatment of orthopaedic and sports-related injuries, with a special focus on the shoulder and knee.

Andy lives in Cincinnati with his wife and three children.  In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, exercising, traveling, and attending athletic events.

Andy sees patients in our Edgewood and Florence locations.

Brent Kraus, PT, DPT

Brent Kraus is a native of Cincinnati, Ohio.  In 2013, he received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with an emphasis in neuroscience from The Ohio State University.  He continued his education and earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from The University of Cincinnati in May, 2016.

As a former athlete himself, Brent's passion lies in treating sport specific orthopaedic conditions emphasizing optimization of movement, performance and return to sport, among other orthopaedic conditions. 

Brent stays active outside of the clinic, competing in recreational sports such as volleyball, basketball and softball.  He also enjoys spending time with friends, family and being a fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes.

Amber Lawrence, PTA

Amber Lawrence graduated Summa Cum Laude with an Associates of Applied Sciences from the University of Cincinnati - Clermont College.  She returned to school to complete her Bachelor's Degree in the Fall of 2016 with a degree in Applied Administration.

Amber has experience working with a variety of patients.  She has a special interest in patients with shoulder injuries, and athletes.  

Amber was a college volleyball player.  In her free time now, she enjoys staying active by playing volleyball, running, and being outdoors.

Chelsea Leak, PTA

Chelsea Leak graduated with her Physical Therapy Assistant degree from Hocking College in 2015.  She enjoys helping people of all ages return to their full potential.  Her passion is assisting patients in their rehabilitation in order to return to their previous level of activity.

Chelsea has experience helping patients return to recreational activities and high level sports, in addition to assisting them in their return to a healthy lifestyle after an injury or procedure.  In her free time, Chelsea enjoys being active by attending the gym and playing recreational/coed soccer.  Her experience as an athlete helped lead to her career as a Physical Therapy Assistant.

Jolie Lehmkuhl, PT, MPT

Jolie Lehmkuhl, PT, MPT, received her Master of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Evansville in 2005.  She also has a minor in Sports Medicine.

She has worked in a variety of settings including the school system, a rehabilitation hospital, and home health.  The majority of her career has been spent in the outpatient orthopaedic setting.  Jolie enjoys partnering with her patients to reach their goals and resume their usual daily activities.

In her free time, Jolie enjoys spending time with her friends and family, including her husband and two children.  She is active in her church and volunteers regularly at her children's school.

Kristen McDavid graduated from Sinclair College with her Associates Degree in Applied Health Sciences.  She became a Physical Therapy Assistant in June 2011.

She has experience with industrial rehabilitation and a variety of orthopaedic conditions.  She is interested in treating sports related injuries and general orthopaedic conditions.

Kristen is a Cincinnati native and Buckeye fan.  She enjoys spending time with her husband, son and the rest of her family.  In her free time, Kristen enjoys hiking, playing soccer and volleyball, and being outdoors.

Taylor McMenamy, PTA

Taylor McMenamy, PTA, graduated with an Associates of Applied Science in Physical Therapy Assistant from Laramie County Community College in Cheyenne, Wyoming. She has experience working in a skilled nursing facility and outpatient clinics.

Taylor enjoys treating a variety of patients helping them return to recreational activities. She has a special interest in low back injuries and other orthopedic conditions. 

Outside of work Taylor enjoys hiking and four-wheeling in the mountains, watching UND hockey and spending time with family and friends.

Cassie Metze, PT, DPT
Cassie Metze, PT, DPT

Cassie Metze graduated summa cum laude from Northern Kentucky University in 2011 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences.  She then received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Cincinnati in April 2014.

Cassie has experience treating patients of all ages in the outpatient orthopaedic setting.  She has a special interest in sports medicine rehabilitation and in treating a wide range of orthopaedic conditions.

In her free time, Cassie enjoys spending time with family and friends, being outdoors, running for fun, and cheering on her favorite college sports team - the UC Bearcats.

Jacob Meyer, PT, DPT

Jake has been with OrthoCincy since 2015. Jake earned his BS in Health Science Management from The Ohio State University and went on to earn  his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Belmont University in Nashville, TN.  He enjoys treating musculoskeletal conditions, orthopedic conditions, and sport related injuries. He has a special interest in manual therapy. Jake enjoys partnering with his patients to improve their overall function and return them to their prior activity level.

 Jake enjoys his time at home with his wife and three little kids. He enjoys any outdoor physical activity, hiking, wood working and photography in his spare time.

Joseph Niehaus, PT, DPT

Joey received both his Bachelor's degree in Health Sciences in 2013 and his Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2016 from the University of Cincinnati. Joey enjoys working with all age groups and has special interests in manual therapy and treating a variety of sports related orthopaedic injuries. He received his Certification in Dry Needling in 2017 from the Spinal Manipulation Institute.

In his free time Joey enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing golf, and hiking with his dog Votto.

Kristin earned her Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training from Xavier University in 2004 and her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Emory University in Atlanta, Ga in 2007. Kristin also has advanced training in manual therapy. She received her Certification in Dry Needling in 2013 and her Certification in Spinal Manipulation in 2014 from the Spinal Manipulation Institute. Kristin has been working with OrthoCincy since 2007.

Jenny Reeves, PTA

Jenny Reeves graduated with her Physical Therapist Assistant degree from the University of Cincinnati.

Jenny has experience in outpatient orthopaedics and post-surgical rehabilitation.  She worked as a therapy aide while attending college and has a passion for helping aging adults remain active and independent.  Jenny has a special interest in treating sports related injuries and other orthopaedic conditions.

A native of Northern Kentucky, Jenny is married and has three children.  In her free time, she enjoys hiking, kayaking, camping, and gardening.

Kevin Schumpp, PT, DPT

Kevin grew up in West Chester, Ohio and attended Lakota West High School where he played football and lacrosse. He enrolled at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio where he earned his undergraduate degree in Exercise Science. Kevin received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Dayton in 2013. Kevin has advanced training in manual therapy with certifications in dry needling and spinal manipulation from the Spinal Manipulation Institute.  In the summer, Kevin enjoys boating at Lake Cumberland with his family.

Katie Schwegmann, PT, MPT

Katie Schwegmann, PT, MPT, graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science from Miami University in 2005 and then went on to earn a Master's Degree in Physical Therapy from The College of Mount St. Joseph in 2007.  She has furthered her knowledge through numerous continuing education courses focusing on the rehabilitation of orthopaedic injuries using functional exercise and manual integration in order to achieve maximal function.

Katie became a Certified Integrated Manual Therapist (CIMT) in 2014 and also completed both Level I and Level II of the Selective Functional Movement Assessment training.  She also will incorporate functional and kinesio taping into a patient's plan of care when needed.

Katie played college basketball for Miami University.  After living in Columbus, Ohio for 8 years, Katie joined Commonwealth Orthopaedic Centers and sees patients at our Edgewood location.  She enjoys spending time with family and friends.

Shaun Tubbs PT, ATC, Physical Therapy Director

Shaun earned his B.S. degree in Athletic Training/Sports Medicine from Wilmington College in 1994. He went on to earn his B.S. degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Louisville in 1997. Shaun’s approach to your Physical Therapy needs involves using a variety of different therapeutic techniques to help you meet your personal goals and return you to an active life of work and play. Shaun serves as a Rehabilitation Consultant for the Cincinnati Bengals and has worked as an Athletic Trainer at Little Miami High School since 1994. Shaun resides in Maineville, Ohio with his wife Joy, who is also a Physical Therapist. They have 2 children, Elizabeth and Parker. Shaun enjoys spending time with his family, playing outdoors, and coaching his kid’s sports teams.

In addition to overseeing the South Lebanon location, Shaun also sees patients there himself.

Justin Vincent, PTA

Justin Vincent received his Bachelor's Degree from Cincinnati Christian University in 2010.  He graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a Physical Therapy Assistant degree in 2016. 

As a former student athlete and current men's rugby club player, Justin is passionate about returning people to the hobbies and sports they love.  In his free time he enjoys working out, yoga, and hiking with his wife as well as bowling, basketball, and rugby with friends.

Kendra Wessling, PT, DPT

Kendra Wessling graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from Thomas More College in 2013 before earning her Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Cincinnati in 2016.  She has experience treating patients in the acute care, skilled nursing, outpatient orthopedic, and occupational health settings.

As a former college athlete, Kendra has a special interest in treating sports-related injuries, but enjoys treating patients with a wide variety of orthopedic conditions. 

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, traveling, and playing soccer.

Jared Wilburn, PT, MPT
Jared Wilburn, PT, MPT

Jared Wilburn received his Masters of Physical Therapy in 2007 from the College of Mount St. Joseph.  

Jared's experience includes working with sports-related injuries, wound care, post-operative care, stroke and other neurological disorders. 

In 2011, Jared joined Commonwealth Orthopaedic Centers with a focus on sports-related injuries, post-operative and overuse injuries.

Jared enjoys spending time with his wife and family.  He also enjoys golfing with friends.

Shkirra Wright, PTA

Shkirra Wright graduated from Miami University in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology and Health.  She then attended the University of Cincinnati to complete her PTA degree in 2015.

Shkirra enjoys helping patients return to independent function and get back to their usual daily activities and hobbies.  Shkirra plans to pursue her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in the future.

In her free time, Shkirra enjoys spending time with friends, watching movies, and playing with her puppy.

Samantha Zoulek, PT, DPT
Samantha Zoulek, PT, DPT

Samantha Zoulek is a native of Athens, Ohio. In 2010 she received a Bachelor of Athletic Training and a Pre-Physical Therapy minor from Xavier University. She continued her education and earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Ohio University in May 2013. Additionally, she earned a Part A certification from the McKenzie Institute for treatment of the lumbar spine.

Sam enjoys working with athletes to improve their physical performance and return them to sport. Her other clinical interests include treatment of the spine and neurological disorders. She has been a member of the Commonwealth Orthopaedic Centers team since 2013.

Outside of physical therapy, Sam values any time she can spend with her family and friends. In her spare time, she also loves traveling, hiking, camping, playing sports, visiting national parks, and cheering for her Xavier Musketeers.

Our physical therapy department is dedicated not only to treating the patient, but also to building a strong relationship with the physician to create a continuum of care.

We offer physical therapy services at our six convenient locations:  Montgomery, Fairfield, South Lebanon, Edgewood, Florence and Southgate; each location is staffed with physical therapists and physical therapy assistants. Our therapists work with patients to restore function and help them through the recovery process. They treat a variety of conditions in patients ranging from athletes who need to return to sports after an injury to patients recovering from surgery.

Our physical therapists are always striving to be on the cutting edge of new techniques and treatments and work directly with our physicians to achieve the best patient outcomes available. They continue their education by observing the physicians in the clinic and attending continuing education seminars each year. This helps them adjust their models of rehab to provide the best all-around care.
