Plantar Fasciitis? Tennis Elbow? Golfer's Elbow? The Physical Therapy Team at Commonwealth Orthopaedic Can Help with SASTM Therapy

Plantar fasciitis (heel pain) can be very painful. Tennis Elbow (lateral epicondylitis) and Golfer’s Elbow (medial epicondylitis) can be just as painful. All three are inflammatory processes that are experienced by many normally active people.

The treatment for these conditions can be challenging. The Physical Therapy team at Commonwealth Orthopaedic Centers uses a range of treatments to combat these disorders, including SASTM (sound assisted soft tissue mobilization). SASTM is a technique in which handheld instruments are used to help break down scar tissue and adhesions that can form over time when conditions become more chronic.

For more information on treatment for these or other inflammatory conditions, contact the Physical Therapy team at Commonwealth Orthopaedic Centers at 859-301-BONE (2663).
