BEN DAVIS PTA

FallThere are a few basic things we can all do when we're out in ice and snow to prevent falls and injuries. Try these easy tips to stay on your feet:
  • Keep your weight over your feet and shorten your stride when walking.
  • Step down from curbs and cars; try not to step out and away from them.
  • Dress warmly, but make sure you have the freedom of movement to walk safely and see your environment clearly.
  • Use handrails whenever available and take a longer route if it means fewer hills or stairs.
Winter can be full of fun, and taking these steps can help to prevent injuries from slips and falls. Enjoy winter and stay safe!
