JONATHON M. SPANYER, MD
 Jonathon Spanyer, M.D., describes himself as a physician who likes to surpass expectations. The total joint replacement specialist and newest addition to the Commonwealth Orthopaedic Centers' team has a special interest in pain management and rapid post-operative recovery. He says he strives to hear, "Wow, this is not what I expected it to be! It really doesn't hurt at all."
To achieve that kind of response from patients and return them to independent living quickly, Dr. Spanyer relies on a broad knowledge base of new and traditional techniques - from pre-operative medications and nerve blocks to light sedation anesthesia when appropriate, injections around joints and specialized physical therapy.
