What is Sound Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (SASTM)?

 Sound Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization, also known as SASTM, is a physical therapy treatment that uses ultrasound therapy, or sound waves, to mobilize tissue. It can be particularly helpful because sound waves can reach deeper than manual soft tissue mobilization.
SASTM may be used by your physical therapist to treat various conditions, including biceps tendinitis, Tennis/Golfer's Elbow, scar tissue formation, plantar fasciitis, hamstring injuries, and more.
