CINCINNATI (WKRC) – As seasons change and students shift from one sport to another, OrthoCincy is reminding athletes and families that urgent care for sports-medicine injuries may be available without “full blown surgery.”
Dr. John Fritch, an OrthoCincy and St. Elizabeth Healthcare surgeon, said getting a proper diagnosis and treatment early can be important because the bones, ligaments and muscles in the knee — and other joints — can be delicate.
“It’s very important and so i think we used to treat our various muscles, aches and pains, as okay ill forget about this now but if it bothers me in a week or so I’ll ask someone about it,” Fritch said.
OrthoCincy said its orthopaedic urgent care is designed to quickly connect patients to specialists and non-surgical options, including physical therapy, when appropriate. The goal is to get patients what they need right away, which can help recovery and healing happen more quickly.
“Nowadays people have access to an orthopaedic surgeon almost 7 days a week almost seven days a week with walk in clinics its very acceptable and having to go through multiple people,” Fritch said.
