Joshua Coger, DPM
Dr. Joshua Coger attended The Ohio State University where he graduated with a B.S. in Biology. He then received his doctoral degree from the Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine in Cleveland, OH where he was awarded the Presidential Scholarship, graduated summa cum laude and salutatorian of his class. After graduating in 2014, he completed his surgical residency with Norton Healthcare Louisville, KY, focusing on Foot and Ankle Surgery.
Dr. Coger treats all issues concerning the lower leg, ankle and foot including fractures, deformities, bunions, hammertoes, diabetic foot care and ulcerations, etc. Dr Coger has obtained additional surgical training in orthoplastics and specializes in minimally invasive (MIS) surgical treatment of common deformities. Having performed over 200 minimally invasive surgeries over the past 2 years, he is widely regarded as the preeminent MIS bunion surgeon in the Louisville metro area. Dr. Coger has been in practice since 2017 and has a hospital affiliation with Norton Healthcare and is currently an attending surgeon for their Podiatric residency program.
Brad S. Dunkin, MD
Dr. Dunkin attended the University of Dayton where he graduated with a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering. He then attended the University of Louisville School of Medicine. After medical school, he completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at the University of Cincinnati. He also Dunkin completed a one year fellowship in Sports Medicine at the University of Kentucky.
Dr. Dunkin specializes in sports medicine injuries and treatment of complex knee and shoulder problems in the athlete and non-athlete. This includes advanced techniques in arthroscopic surgery, ligament and cartilage reconstructive surgery, joint replacement, as well as nonsurgical treatment and rehabilitation. He received the “Top Doctor” award by The Louisville Magazine in 2015.
Tyler J. Keller, MD
Dr. Keller completed his fellowship training in adult reconstruction (hip and knee replacement surgery), at the prestigious Northwestern University McGraw Medical Center. He did his residency at the University Of Cincinnati Department Of Orthopaedic Surgery where he was voted Outstanding Chief Resident. Dr. Keller received his Medical Doctorate with Distinction from the University of Kentucky College of Medicine. He holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Biology from the University of Kentucky where he graduated Summa Cum Laude. Dr. Keller also was awarded the University of Kentucky’s Presidential Scholarship and the Vogt Achievement Scholarship. Dr. Keller has performed hip and knee replacements in underserved countries, including a trip to Honduras.
Dr. Keller specializes in hip and knee replacement surgery, including complex total hip and knee revision surgery, orthopaedic trauma and fracture care.
Mathew T. Phillips, MD
Dr. Mathew Phillips is fellowship trained in Advanced Spine surgery and Sports Medicine. He grew up in Central Illinois and went to University of Illinois for his undergraduate degree, then attended medical school at Rush University, Chicago. His Orthopaedic surgery residency was performed at Saint Louis University Hospital, St. Louis, Missouri, and Orthopaedic Spine Surgery Fellowship at Spine Surgery PSC, in Louisville, Kentucky. Dr. Phillips also completed an Orthopaedic Sports Medicine Fellowship at Cincinnati Sports Medicine and Orthopedic Center in Cincinnati, Ohio..
Dr. Phillips has special interests in acute and chronic conditions involving the cervical, thoracic, lumbar spine, as well as SI Joint Fusion.
Lauren A. Protzer, MD
Dr. Lauren A. Protzer is a board-eligible, fellowship trained Orthopedic surgeon specializing in Hand, Elbow and Shoulder surgery. She completed her medical degree at the University of Louisville School of Medicine and her residency at the University of Louisville Department of Orthopedic Surgery. She went on to complete a combined Hand and Upper Extremity fellowship at the Medical College of Wisconsin. Dr. Protzer sees patients at our Biggin Hill and Dixie Hwy locations.
David P. Rhoads, MD
‘Never Stop Learning’ captures the essence of founding partner Dr. David Rhoads. His medical career journey began when he attended University of Louisville where he received his bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy. He then went on to further his education and completed medical school at the University of Louisville.
Dr. Rhoads completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at the renowned Henry Ford Health Systems in Detroit, Michigan. He attended fellowship training in shoulder, hip and knee replacement at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, MI. He has received additional training in hip arthroscopy and hip preservation surgery for femoral acetabular impingement and anterior hip replacement surgery.
He is a member of American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He received the “Top Doctor” award by The Louisville Magazine in 2015 and 2018. His outside interests include spending time with his wife Shiela and his three children. He enjoys woodworking.
