The Cincinnati Bengals have been hit hard by injuries this season, with key players sidelined at crucial times. ESPN 1530’s Mo Egger turned to one of the best to get some insight in to these injures; OrthoCincy’s Dr. Angel Velazquez.
Logan Wilson’s Season-Ending Injury
Perhaps the most significant blow came with the season-ending knee injury to linebacker Logan Wilson. A crucial piece of the Bengals’ defense, Wilson’s absence has left a void in the middle of the field.
McPherson and Brown’s Health Concerns
Kicker Evan McPherson, known for his clutch performances, has been dealing with a groin injury. While he has been able to play through it, the injury has impacted his accuracy. Offensive tackle Orlando Brown Jr. has also been battling injuries, primarily knee issues. His absence has affected the Bengals’ offensive line, particularly in pass protection.
As the Bengals push for a playoff berth, their ability to overcome these injuries will be crucial.
