Dr. Angel Velazquez will offer invaluable insights into preventing overuse injuries through proper pitching techniques, safe throwing mechanics and practical strengthening tips. This presentation is designed for high school and youth athletes, their family and coaches to gain a better understanding of off-season and warm-up exercises, recovery methods and ongoing maintenance programs crucial for young athletes.
In addition to this expert presentation and a Q&A opportunity, the evening will feature special guest Bronson Arroyo to offer additional real-world perspective from his youth playing days to a 16-year MLB career.

Dr. Angel Velazquez is board certified and fellowship trained in Sports Medicine at OrthoCincy Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine. Dr. Velazquez specializes in nonsurgical treatment of orthopedic/athletic injuries, musculoskeletal ultrasound, arthritis, and general orthopedics. He is the former assistant medical director of the Cincinnati Reds with nine years of experience in Major League Baseball.
