The University of Cincinnati men’s basketball took No. 25-ranked Texas to the wire but fell short in the final seconds, losing 74-73 on Tuesday inside Fifth Third Arena.  

Texas took control of the game after a back-and-forth first half. After Texas’ Disu 3 gave the visitors a 39-33 advantage, Lakhin made a free throw and Skillings Jr. scored five straight points, including a massive one-handed fast break dunk to tie the game just before the break. 

The one handed slam earned Skillings the OrthoCinsational Play of the week.
