Dr. Charles E. Whalen received his M.D. from the University of Louisville and completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati. He practiced Emergency Medicine in Cincinnati from 1984 to 2001, serving regularly as an instructor/preceptor for medical students, residents, paramedics and nurses.
Dr. Whalen also served in the US Army Reserves/Army National Guard from 1985-2012. He served in Iraq and Afghanistan for four combat tours, and held the rank of Colonel in the Medical Corps. In addition, Dr. Whalen spent the past 10 years practicing Occupational Medicine in the Greater Cincinnati area. He was named a "Top Doctor" by Cincinnati Magazine from 2018 - Present. He also serves as the Team Physician for Grant County High School.
Dr. Whalen is accepting new patients in sports medicine and general orthopaedics, and will be seeing patients at OrthoCincy’s Edgewood and Florence locations. |
