Dr. Shankar Narayanan is a board eligible Orthopaedic Surgeon
specializing in primary and revision total joint reconstruction of the hip and
knee. He is a graduate of St. Xavier High School where he was a member of
the St. Xavier Aquabombers State Champion Swimming and Diving teams. He
received his medical degree from Wright State University in Dayton, OH in 2016
followed by his residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at The Ohio State University
Wexner Medical Center in 2021. He completed subspecialty training in
primary and revision total joint replacement at the NYU Langone Orthopaedic
Hospital in New York City where he learned from some of the pioneers in rapid
recovery after total joint replacement.
Dr. Narayanan specializes in minimally invasive anterior total hip replacement surgery, primary robotic total knee replacement, complex revision hip and knee replacement, fracture care, and knee arthroscopy. He treats patients at our West Chester and Kenwood locations, and performs surgery at a variety of hospitals including The Christ Hospital Joint and Spine Center and TriHealth Hospitals.
When
not practicing medicine, Dr. Narayanan enjoys spending time with his wife,
family, and friends exploring Cincinnati. He enjoys traveling around the
world, running and exercising, and watching Ohio State Buckeyes and Cincinnati
Bengals football.
