CINCINNATI (WKRC) – The team at OrthoCincy emphasizes the importance of maintaining bone health at any age, warning against waiting until later in life to address bone loss or osteoporosis.

Kenzie Hopper, a physician assistant at OrthoCincy, highlighted the prevalence of osteoporosis, stating, “One in every two women and one in every four men in the world are going to be diagnosed with osteoporosis at some point in their lifetime.”

Hopper recommends body resistance exercises, weight-bearing activities, and strength training to keep bones strong.

Luke Bryce, a physical therapist at OrthoCincy, added, “The intensity is the most important consideration and that’s why establishing a baseline for strength is so important.” The team suggests alternating weight training and aerobics at least three days a week, with the assistance of a physical therapist if needed.
